Shelbyville, Tennessee: (Continued....)

At the Walking Horse Celebration Grounds there are other special locations and show arenas.
One of the special locations is the Celebration Plaza which has the Winner's Circle and also a monument
of all the names of the National Champion Horses and their owners.

main street.
Winners Circle
The Winner's Circle inside the Celebration Plaza is reserved
for honoring the winners of the several categories of Walking
Horses, including the National Champion.

A nice monument is maintained with the names of all the National Championship winners of the Walking Horse Celebration.
(For an interesting Web Site about the National Champions, go to Link: Walking Horse Legends)

of the Tennessee Walking Horse Celebration at Shelbyville.

The Champions Arena, next to the Celebration Plaze, serves as a staging arena for the Calsonic Arena
and the main Walking Horse Celebration arena. The Calsonic Arena is a completely enclosed building
and hosts many horse shows and other special events during the year. The Champions Arena
can also be used for its own events.

Composite
The Celebration Grounds cover 105 acres. The main buildings are the outdoor Celebration Arena, the indoor Calsonic Arena and the mostly-enclosed Champions Arena. In addition, there are 63 barns which provide stables for the horses.

This composite picture shows the Champions Arena, the Calsonic Arena and a large sign by Calsonic Arena and also some Walking Horses which were brought to the Celebration.

For the 2005 Celebration there were 166 competitive events and 4260 different entries. The Grand Champion was Main Power, a six year old black stallion. Owners are Holland, King & Kilgore of Decatur, Arab and Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
